OGL Facilities

OGL

The Center for Marine Genomic Research and Conservation

In spring 2006 OGL moved into its new research facility located in this beautifully restored historic building --formerly the Carriage House of the Proctor Estate-- on land that is now part of the campus of New England Biolabs.

Laboratory facilities OGL currently occupies about 6000 square ft. of research and office space in the carriage house and plans are under way to outfit additional laboratory spaces within this facility.

Cryogenic storage OGL's cryogenic storage facility includes both ultra-low temperature mechanical freezers (-86°C) and liquid nitrogen vapor freezers (-176°C) capable of storing hundreds of thousands of DNA and tissue samples.

Visiting Scientist Programs Laboratory bench space is also available by arrangement for visiting scientists.
