Our Web server does not automatically recognize or collect any information regarding the domain or e-mail address of visitors to our site. Our site does not set cookies. We collect only the information that our visitors volunteer through postings to our online forms or through other types of voluntary correspondence. The information that we collect is used only for the following purposes: 1) to provide information regarding our activities to subscribers of our email list, 2) to contact users of the Ocean Genome Legacy, its collections and services, regarding the status of their interactions with OGL, 3) to verify and validate the sources of materials deposited to, or requested from, the Ocean Genome Resource, 4) to acknowledge receipt, or to notify of shipment, of materials, invoices, payments or donations.
