About Amy

My career started out with a first-class degree in Medical Imaging, during which I quickly discovered I have a passion for research. My degree naturally lead onto working as a qualified radiographer. This enabled me to work in the UK in the NHS, during which I was a member of the hospital’s gastrointestinal imaging research team, as well as overseas in beautiful New Zealand as a Medical Radiation Technologist. Outside of work, I have always enjoyed learning about new technologies, and how they work. My medical background gives me a greater understanding of how they can affect your body.

The world of health and beauty is an exciting industry that is always evolving, with new innovative creations being developed regularly. I decided to utilise my passion for the field and compile information about different elements of health and beauty in one place.

OGLF aims to provide our readers with relevant discussions, unbiased reviews and useful, interesting information that makes purchasing and using the right products an easier experience. I know the importance of getting it right the first time, so I want to save you time, effort and money by helping you to choose the right products and routines for you. I also want to help you to achieve more with the tools you have, so that your purchases are cost effective.

My research-based background has helped me to determine useful sources and I regularly read through journal articles to find studies relating to the techniques and products we discuss. Since launching the site, we have expanded OGLF and we have taken on more writers. I am very excited about the future of this blog, and greatly enjoy working with like-minded writers like Elizabeth and Diana.

Diana Zambrano

About DiannaLike most people in the medical field, my love for helping others has shaped every aspect of my career. I graduated with a Bachelor’s in Psychology and soon realized that I wanted to help the community become healthy and avoid preventable diseases, so I completed a master’s degree in public health and specialized in health promotion interventions.

I have worked in several research projects that have helped me understand that improving quality of life doesn’t have to be hard or expensive. Now, OGLF has given me a platform to share my knowledge with you so that you can get the most out of your health and beauty routines and become the best version of yourself without breaking the bank.

I am pleased to be a part of this unbiased resource for health and beauty advice, as finding a good and trustworthy place to get impartial evaluations is becoming increasingly hard. We all work hard to research advice, tips and products, and only recommend techniques and products that we would use ourselves.

When I’m not searching ways to help you get the most out of your beauty and health products or reading scientific journals to give you the most accurate advice possible, you’ll likely find me strapping on an air tank and venturing underwater. When I got my first scuba diving certification years ago, I never thought diving would become such an important part of my life.

Now, as certified rescue scuba diver, I believe diving gives me the opportunity to explore worlds most never get to experience in their lives. From WWII shipwrecks to magnificent corals, diving is all about descending into the unknown and enjoying a few hours of just listening to the sound of my bubbles while searching for tiny nudibrachs or magnificent sharks.

Elizabeth LaVelle Murray

About ElizabethI am a writer based in New York City and have been privileged to contribute to OGLF. My ability to conduct in-depth research and write gripping content has been a great addition to the website and making it the incredible resource it is today.

Prior to becoming a writer, I worked as a corporate litigator in Boston, Massachusetts. I then made the decision to leave law in pursuit of my lifelong passion for the written word and, what began as a simple idea, quickly transformed into a new career!

I have gained valuable experience in online writing as well as marketing and social media management. OGLF has given me the opportunity to write in the health and beauty sector, and I greatly enjoy researching and writing thoughtful, accurate and engaging copy. I have also written in a variety of other markets, including the travel, lifestyle and wellness spaces. I am passionate about increasing overall readership without sacrificing the tone and style of the brands that I represent.

I am also an accomplished non-fiction writer and have been featured in a variety of well-respected publications, websites, and blogs. I continue to give back to my community as a pro bono attorney and am admitted to practice in the State of New York as well as the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

Outside of my career, I am also a certified, RYT-200 yoga instructor with specializations in restorative yoga, Vinyasa flow, children’s yoga, chair yoga, and Hatha yoga. I am also a certified Reiki Master and have experience teaching yoga and Reiki to a variety of folks, including those impacted by poverty, addiction, and domestic violence. When I’m not writing at my desk or popping back and forth between yoga studios, you can find me spending time with my incredible family in my new Manhattan home!
